Born and raised in Detroit and a graduate of the University of Michigan, Courtney combines strong local roots with advanced expertise. She is a Board Certified Haircolorist (BCH) — a distinction earned through rigorous written and practical exams covering advanced color theory, formulation, and correction — and is verified and listed in the national BCH directory at boardofcertifiedhaircolorists.com. She has been voted Best Hairstylist in Washtenaw County four times by Current Magazine readers — 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025.
